July 8, 2002 Love the site! I live in Houston, and 14 years ago, Angela gave my 5th grade class a nature tour on the bay side of the park, well, I've been hooked ever since. I just returned home from there in fact, but this coming weekend I think I'll have to come down again for all the beatiful summer sites or just to sit and read with the waves in my ear. The dunes look wonderful, and the beach plants are gorgeous. Keep up the good work folks and nice to discover y'all are out there!
I WAS THINKING OF MAKING SOME OF THOSE PIPE AND PLXIGLASS, VIEWING TANKS. I HAVE SEVERAL FEET OF PIPE.LOWES HARDWARE SELLS 1/8 INCH PLEXY. DO YOU THINK THAT IS THICK ENOUGH. THEN I WAS GOING TO GLUE AND SEAL IT WITH A BEAD OF SILICON CAUK.
I noticed some sea life unfamiliar to me on the beach south of the park. Can you tell me anything about the small brown striped jellyfish and blue sea grey-blue anemone(?) with a center disk the size of a penny?
When is the next "Legacy Weekend". I've never been to Galveston Island State Park and would like to take opportunity of that weekend to see it all.
To Fran Ryan: Your letter of 26 June was forwared to me re my annual dues. I gave Winkie Mohn a check for $1000 in May. Half was for my sustaining membership. The other half ws for the Hank Rosenthal memorial. Thank you. Heather Flynn
I can't find any information on your Nature Center and am interested in volunteering a few hours a day.
On the "Monthly Activities" link it shows the month of June 2005, so it needs to be up to date. The web site is very, very nice though! :) I'm thinking of moving to Pirates Beach so I'm surfing around the 'net looking for more info. :) Thanks!
update your website.
